Applications are being sought from qualified individuals to fill a solely temporary job under the Institute’s “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, which is being overseen by Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist, NIPGR. The position’s specifics are as follows:

Eligibility Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and have a Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences with at least 60 % (or equivalent) marks can apply. Candidate with experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, cDNA isolation, qRT-PCR analysis, and tomato tissue culture. A candidate who is having documented proof of these experiences will be given preference.
The Fellowship amount for the above position is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. The above position is completely on a temporary basis with a maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated at any time by giving a month’s notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
