About CSIR-IIIM R&TP 2023
CSIR-IIIM invites online applications from prospective candidates of all branches of Life and Chemical science for CSIR-IIIM Research &Training/Internship Program (June-July)-2023.
Mode of Training/Internship
Trainees will have to work under the supervision/mentorship of a CSIR-IIIM Scientist/Technical Officer. Each student is supposed to work on an allotted project and has to submit a ‘Project Report’ of the work done on completion of the project.
Eligibility:
• M.Sc. Program: Students admitted in 2022 (who finished first year of M.Sc).
• B.Tech./B.Pharm Program: Students admitted in the year 2020 (who finished 3 years of B. Tech).
• Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech or B.Sc-M.Sc. or BVSc: Students who finished 8th Semester (or 4 years of their study)
• MBBS /BDS students in any year of their study can apply.
• B.Sc in Biosciences 4years program: Students admitted in the year 2020 (who finished 3 years of B.Sc)
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria will be as under:
- A Nation-wide representation.
- Preference shall be given to students from
a) Public funded Universities/Institutes with,
b) Universities/Institutes with whom CSIR-IIIM Jammu is having MoU
3 Academic Record of 12th class, graduation and semesters cleared at Bachelors/Masters level till May 2023.
The number of trainee’s intake varies between 40-50 candidates for June / July 2023 session, and mainly depends upon the availability of bench space available in various laboratories of CSIR-IIIM.
Fee
Fee will be charges as under:
Two months = 10000+ GST
Three months = 15000+ GST
Four months = 20000+ GST
Five months = 25000+ GST
Six months = 30000+ GST

Prospective trainees interested in applying for the Research Training/Internship Program (June –July) 2023 session must submit application through on-line mode by of before 30thMay 2022, 5:00PM

Documents required to be attached along with the Application form are as under.
1 Completed Application Form
2 Marks Card and Diploma/degree Certificate of 12th Standard and Graduation
3 Marks Card of semesters cleared till May 2023.
4 Recommendation Letter (In original) from HoD/Dean/Registrar/Principal/ Director (in Original). Please note that photo copy of the letter shall not be accepted.
Financial Support/Boarding/Lodging
Selected candidates are required to self-finance their stay at CSIR-IIIM Jammu and shall have to make their own arrangement for stay in Jammu during the training period. CSIR-IIIM may consider requests for accommodation only from outstation students, especially girl students in CSIR-IIIM housing facility depending upon the availability of the accommodation on first come first serve basis for which candidates will have to pay nominal license fee + electricity charges as per CSIR norms.
Important point to note.
- Applications for Internship/Training Program JUNE/JULY 2023 MUST be submitted ONLINE only.
- Duration of the program two to six months starting June 2023.
- Requests/applications for the program sent prior to this notification will not be considered. Any such candidate MUST apply again using the prescribed application form.
- Upload the copies of marks/grades obtained in 10th standard, B.Sc and M.Sc (first year) or B.Tech/B.Pharm (first three years) or Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech (first four years). In case the marks sheet/grades for the 2nd semester (or first year) of M.Sc or 6th semester (last semester of pre-final year) in case of B.Tech or 8th semester (last semester of pre-final year) Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech students are not available, the candidate MUST upload a certificate from the college/institute that he/she has appeared for the exams and the results are awaited.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered/be rejected.
- The decision of the CSIR-IIIM Jammu regarding the selection of candidates shall be final.
- Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
- All candidates selected for the program would require work for the duration of the training without any break.
- All candidates are required to furnish authorization letter from the Head of the Department/DEAN/Registrar/Principal/Director in original.
