Inviting applications for Project Position

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following purely temporary position of one Student Intern/Trainee under the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) for two months in the SERB project entitled “Deciphering role(s) of post-translational modifications and chromatin regulation of immunity in rice”, under the supervision of Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Director, NIPGR. The details of the position are as under:

Student Intern/Trainee (One Post) – Consolidated Emoluments ₹.5000/- per month (tenure of post valid for two months).

Qualification – Student currently pursuing the final year of B.Tech/B.Eng./ M.Sc./M.Tech/ M.Sc. in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics or related field are eligible to apply.

How to Apply –

Interested candidates should send

(i) bio-data, and

(ii) a certificate from the head of the Institute/Department clearly indicating the current status of students and permission to attend the training if selected,

(iii) copies of their marks sheets and (iv) a brief paragraph indicating their research interest.

Eligible candidates may apply by sending a soft copy through e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest along with self-attested soft copies of the mark sheets, and certificates, (from Class X onwards). A single pdf file, consisting of the application form, and all documents, must be sent to sclab105@gmail.com within 21 days from the date of advertisement. The subject line of the email should be “Application for the Post of Student Intern/Trainee under Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR)”. A web link with the date and time of the online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates only.

Incomplete applications and lack of supporting educational certificates/documents will be rejected. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s). NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
