Applicants are invited for the post of SRF/YP-II/YP-I purely on a contractual basis in the campus of ICAR-Indian Institute Millets Research, Hyderabad-500030, through a Physical or Virtual mode interview on 11thMarch, 12th March and 15th March 2024.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Young Professional-II (YP-II) (Bio-Chemistry) 
Number of positions: Two
Global Centre of Excellence on Millets (Shree Anna) project
I. Essential Academic Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in Biochemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Food Technology/Food Science and Nutrition 

a. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. 

b. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. 

c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. 
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in food analysis/food product development and handling of analytical equipment, data handling and analysis.
A fixed salary of Rs.31,000/- + HRA for SRF per month. (Or) A fixed salary of Rs.42,000/- for YP-II per month.
One year and further extended based on the requirement and funding.

4 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Young Professional-II (YP-II) (Pathology) 
Number of positions: One 
Global Centre of Excellence on Millets (Shree Anna) project 
I. Essential Academic Qualifications: M.Sc. in Plant Pathology/Mycology 
a. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. b. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. 
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in handling fungal plant pathogens, screening of germplasms against the plant pathogens
A fixed salary of Rs.31,000/- + HRA for SRF per month. (Or) A fixed salary of Rs.42,000/- for YP-II per month. One year and further extended based on the requirement and funding.

5 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Young Professional-II (YP-II) (Entomology) 
Number of positions: Two 
Global Centre of Excellence on Millets (Shree Anna) project I. Essential Academic Qualifications: M.Sc. in Entomology or equivalent degree 
a. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. b. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. Relevant experience: – Collection of field samples of insects, microbes, plants.  
– Sample slide preparation for fluorescent and phase contrast microscopes observations. – Sample preparation for ultra-microtome, laser microdissection, SEM, confocal microscopy observations. – Data and image acquisition from fluorescent, phase contrast microscopes, ultramicrotome, laser microdissection, SEM, confocal microscopy and analysis using software packages

9 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Young Professional-II (YP-II) (Genomics, functional genomics & Molecular breeding) 
Number of positions: Three 
Global Centre of Excellence on Millets (Shree Anna) project 
I. Essential Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences 
a. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. b. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. 
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in the application of nextgeneration sequencing (NGS) data, bioinformatics tools, gene expression assays, in crops or animals.
A fixed salary of Rs.31,000/- + HRA for SRF per month. (Or) A fixed salary of Rs.42,000/- for YP-II per month. One year and further extended based on the requirement and funding.

I. Essential Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences 
a. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. b. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. 
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in the application of nextgeneration sequencing (NGS) data, molecular markers, SNP genotyping and high-throughput marker data in crops or animals. 
A fixed salary of Rs.31,000/- + HRA for SRF per month. (Or) A fixed salary of Rs.42,000/- for YP-II per month. One year and further extended based on the requirement and funding.

Essential Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences a. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the academic subjects mentioned above, along with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree, will be considered for SRF. b. Candidate with a postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for SRF. c. Candidates with postgraduate degree in the above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for YP II. 
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in the application of nextgeneration (NGS) DNA/RNA sequencing data, bioinformatics tools and applications, NGS software, R programming, Linux, in crops or animals. A fixed salary of Rs.31,000/- + HRA for SRF per month. (Or) 
A fixed salary of Rs.42,000/- for YP-II per month. One year and further extended based on the requirement and funding.
