Post Name: Senior Research Fellow
Project Title: “Morphological, biochemical and molecular characterization of migratory planthoppers of rice and development of improved management strategy for Rice planthoppers.”
The position is available only for 6 months from the date of joining or till 31 st March 2023, whichever is earlier. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Salary: INR 35, 000 + 16% HRA
Eligbility Criteria: The Candidate should be M.Sc. in Entomology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks and must have qualified NET/GATE.
Experience: At least two years of research experience in the related field is required.
Age Limit: The Upper Age limit is 32 years. Age limit is relaxable for 3years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female Candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Desirable Qualifications: The candidate should have prior hands on experience insect culturing, molecular biology techniques, DNA barcoding and informationon phylogeny software’s will be preferred.
