Guwahati Biotech Park organizes internship/project /dissertation programs for students in Biotechnology and allied areas. Students can apply according to their interest and eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria: Students pursuing BSC/MSC/BTECH/MTECH in Biotechnology and Allied Areas Areas: Microbial Techniques with Imaging, Molecular Biology, Bio prospecting of Flora and Fauna, Biomolecule profiling, Micropropagation, Fermentation, Herbal Extraction and Application of Sophisticated Analytical.
Duration: 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months. Registration Fees: Rs. 1000/- only ( Non Refundable)
The following areas are identified as thrust areas for the Incubation Centre –
-Central Analytical Instrumentation Facility (Charge List / Requisition Form) -Bioprospecting Facility (Charge List / Requisition Form) -Micropropagation Facility (Charge List / Requisition Form) -Herbal Extraction Facility (Charge List / Requisition Form) -Fermentation Facility (Charge List / Requisition Form) -A few equipments are also available under Utilities ( Charge List/Requisition Form)
The Park will bring together infrastructural facilities from diverse categories of biotechnology, chemical sciences, pharmaceuticals, bioinformatics and technology support services and will include:
-Approximately 20,000 sq ft of lab space -Ready-to-use modular wet laboratories, fully furnished and with core and shell utilities (Modular lab) -Developed space to create custom-built research centers, pilot plants etc. -Business and administrative support -Conferences and training workshops support (conference room)(Charges for Conference Hall Use) -Library and Information Management -Library subscribing to latest international journals.

- Students should submit two passport size photographs, a certificate from the host Institute / ID Card along with the Registration Form.
- Students have to bear their own boarding/lodging /conveyance charges etc.
- The intern will be allowed to use the Laboratory Space any other facilities available at GBP as required in his/her area of interest.
- The intern has to maintain Log Book, Issue Registrar against the use of equipments.
- The intern will be issued glassware/plasticware/apparatus etc. from GBP through the supervisor and must be returned in same condition on completion of the internship. In case of breakage or damage, the cost of the same shall be borne by the intern.
- The intern has to take prior approval of the supervisor and the competent authority for using any other facilities if required during the internship period.
