5% relaxation of marks might be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In the case of the selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her income will be fixed based on prevailing IRD norms.

The last date for submitting the finished applications by e-mail is 21/06/2021 by 5.00 p.m. The shortlisted applicants that are called for interview need to bring original certificates (both professional as well as academic) with a current passport size photo at the time of interview.

Emoluments: Rs.31,000/-per month plus HRA at 24 percent

Essential Qualifications: Candidate should have M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry relevant engineering disciplines. The candidate should have at least 70% marks in a postgraduate degree. (period of appointment extendible up to 6-8 months, on successful completion of project milestones and also showing good potential for research, the candidate shall be considered for a regular PhD position at IIT Delhi). A student ought to have qualified at NET/GATE */ National level examination as per IIT Delhi norms.

Required Abilities:

i) Experience in immobilization, enzymology, biochemical techniques

ii) Having excellent practical knowledge in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gene editing, culture techniques is essential for the future progression of the applicant into the PhD program.

iii) It is essential that the candidate should have worked on biosensor technologies as well as any publication as first/joint author shall be added advantage.

iv) Applicant not having any one of the above experience need not apply.

* The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF may be relaxed for the candidates that have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of greater than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
